Happy birthday Suzanne Aubert

Ra Whanau Suzanne Aubert
In room 6 we have been celebrating Suzanne Aubert’s birthday by making flowers for the theme, “Always choose the little flower of hope.”

Suzanne looked after sick people, people with disabilities, children whose families couldn’t care for them, and the elderly. The work she started continues to this day in places like Wellington’s Compassion Soup Kitchen.

Suzanne left her home in France and came to Aotearoa to support the Maori people. She honoured the Maori people, their tikanga, reo and rongoa. Suzanne loved God and always thought about what he wanted her to do, not what she wanted, even when that wasn’t easy.

The Lesson

I am learning to: write a narrative based on a photo
Once there was a 12 year old boy named Zac he hated cleaning his room, he also had a really messy room. It looked like pigs lived in there. His mum always came into his room and started nagging at him, she would say “Zac why haven’t you cleaned your room?” or “your room is so messy!” He was a rather lazy boy. He told his mum he would rather play Fortnite Battle Royale on his Xbox 1s.

Zac thought of building a robot to clean his room for him. He went on his Macbook and searched for a robot on Amazon.com that could clean his room then finally he found a robot that was bright red called the Clean-o-matic. But what Zac didn't know was that there was a red button that had a warning label that said... watch out if touched then the robot will shred everything in sight.

Zac was watching television at the time but then there was a knock at his front door, it was the mail man. Zac opened the door to see the mailman he said “I have a package for Zac Mires”.

He jumped with happiness then he snatched the package and sprinted up to his room. He started to build the robot, he started to connect all the wires and it looked really cool. The Clean-o-matic was turned on by Zac. He accidentally hit the red button with his elbow then the Clean-o-matic went ballistic and shredded up his entire room.

Zac’s mum entered the room and saw the Clean-o-matic going ballistic then she got a broom and started wacking the Clean-o-matic like crazy. Electricity started to fly out of the machine and Zac ran and got a really strong stick and also started wacking the robot. Suddenly the robot went even faster messing up his room, the robot also had black smoke coming out of the back. Zac threw an apple at the robot then the robot slowed down. Then his mum ran and turned the robot off. Zac and his mom sat in relief knowing that the robot had stopped.

From that day on Zac had learned his lesson so he cleaned his room every single day and he also didn’t order a robot to clean his room ever again. Zac then threw the Clean-o-matic in the rubbish bin.
